Five Year Limited Warranty Statement
Warranty Coverage:
Bittel USA, Inc., warrants to its original end-user customer or purchaser that all products installed for their intended use as hospitality industry guestroom telephones, manufactured by Bittel to be free of manufacturing defects, defects in materials and workmanship.
Warranty Period:
Products covered under the limited warranty, shall be covered for a period of five years from the original date of shipping, unless the purchaser has purchased and paid for extended warranty coverage. Batteries are not covered.
Warranty Repair:
This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of defective parts or improper workmanship only. In the event that a covered product fails during the warranty period, then Bittel USA Inc. has the option to replace or repair a telephone, at its sole discretion. Bittel USA, Inc. has the right to use new or refurbished parts in the repair work. A replaced or repaired telephone will not extend the original warranty period.
Warranty Exclusions:
Products are not covered for the following conditions: Tampering or removal of any warranty label or seal, normal wear and tear to any components, abuse, misuse, improper installation or repair, high voltage resulting from power surges, non-factory modifications, the cost of transportation to or from Bittel USA, Inc. for repaired items and any related cost of customer's removal or reinstallation. All cost and risk of loss or damage related to shipping warranty items to Bittel USA, Inc. is the responsibility of the customer.
Warranty Returns:
No products shall be returned to Bittel USA, Inc. without first obtaining a warranty return authorization and an RMA number. Bittel USA Inc. shall not be responsible for any item shipped to Bittel USA, Inc. without an RMA tag and authorization and shall be rejected. To obtain authorization, please call (949) 257-1008. Telephones returned for authorized repair must be packaged in the original cartons or suitable protective packing. Bittel USA, Inc. shall not be responsible for damage to products during return shipping for repair.
Warranty Limitations:
This warranty is limited to the terms set forth in this document and Bittel USA, Inc. expressly disclaims any other warranties oral or written, expressed or implied. There are no warranties for merchantability for any specific purpose. In no way shall Bittel USA, Inc. be liable to any third party or customers for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Customer's sole remedy shall be the repair or replacement of defective products as stated herein.
Out of Warranty Repairs:
Returned products determined to be out of the warranty coverage period or that need repair as the result of non-warranty related defects can be repaired or replace based on the Customers decision. Please call (949) 257-1008 to obtain an estimate and an RMA number.
Bittel USA, Inc. Equipment Replacement and RMA Policy
Returning Equipment to Bittel USA, Inc.
A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) is required for products returned to Bittel USA, Inc., for any reason; including exchange, refund, credit, warranty replacement or repair. Please understand and follow the procedures and policies outlined in this document – do not send any equipment to Bittel USA, Inc. without first obtaining an RMA number.
Customers should contact Bittel USA, Inc. at info@bittelusa.com and address their request to technical support or the credit department. Please provide the model ID code and any serial numbers located on the bottom of the telephone in order that Bittel USA, Inc. can verify that the equipment is covered under warranty. If you are requesting to return items for warranty or any other reason, please provide the following information:
- Property name and location
- Date of original installation
- Dealer's name or name of installers
- Person to contact at property (name, phone number, email)
- Describe the reason for requesting an RMA
Bittel USA, Inc. will provide customers with an RMA tracking number and instructions for shipping. The RMA number must be clearly indicated on all shipping cartons.
- Warranty Replacement: If the item is covered under warranty, the item will be replaced or repaired and return shipped to the customer. If items returned for warranty repair are found not to be defective, the customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping.
- Exchange: Phones or equipment authorized for exchange must be done within 30 days of the original shipping date. Any exchange product must be returned in the original box and in like new condition. Credit shall be issued against replacement products.
- Non-Warranty Exchange: Equipment not covered under warranty can be exchanged for a new product and an allowance of $2.00 for single line telephones and $4.00 for two line telephones can be applied to new telephone purchases, plus the shipping cost.
- Advance Replacement: In certain emergency circumstances, Bittel USA, Inc. may authorize advanced replacement of both warranty and non-warranty equipment in advance of RMA authorized returned equipment. Bittel USA, Inc. will invoice customers for products shipped and customer must return to Bittel USA, Inc. the malfunctioning or exchanged equipment within 14 days. The full amount must be paid within 30 days or will be subject to additional charges and fees. After receipt of returned equipment, Bittel USA, Inc. shall determine if credit is authorized as an adjustment against the invoice value and notify customer.
- Restocking Fees: Products returned for credit are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Only items in the original unopened shipping cartons and boxes can be returned for credit.
Terms Of Sale
- Payment can be made either by credit card on Bittel USA's website (www.BittelUSA.com) or after credit approval via check or ACH. Standard payment terms are 30 calendar days net; with a preset credit limit determined by Bittel USA. Payment shall be received in Bittel USA's bank account no later than 30 days after the invoice date. Late payment will be assed a late fee of 1% on the first business day 30 calendar days after the invoice date. Ten days after the credit terms are exceeded the account will be put on credit hold and no further deliveries will take place. Further delay of the payment will result in additional late fees assessed, at the rate of 1% at the commencement of every additional ten day period. All late fees will increase with an interest rate of 1.5% per month from the end of each ten day period. In order to make payments timely, Bittel USA suggests an automatic ACH transfer of the monies; Bittel USA will facilitate such arrangement at no additional cost.
- Prices are set in a price list issued by Bittel USA; at Bittel USA's discretion. The current price list is available on the Bittel USA website. Price changes may occur without notice and at Bittel USA's sole discretion.
- Bittel USA enforces a strict ordering procedure. A written purchase order submitted via fax, email or from Bittel USA's website, will establish an order date with prior terms agreed upon. The order date will determine the current price list in use. All orders will be acknowledged with a sales order issued by Bittel USA.
All orders must be accompanied by the following two documents:
- A fully completed signed proof for the faceplates. Form is available on Bittel USA's website. No delivery can take place earlier than two weeks after the faceplate is approved by the Dealer.
- A fully completed signed form for the speed dial programming. Form is available at Bittel USA's website. No delivery can take place earlier than two weeks after the programming is approved by the Dealer.
- Freight is not included in Bittel USA's pricing. All prices are FOB San Clemente, CA. Title and risk of loss is transferred to the customer at the time Bittel USA delivers the merchandise to the freight company for delivery to the customers selected delivery location.
- Warranty is a five year Limited Warranty as described on Bittel USA's website. Bittel USA has the right to make changes to the Warranty without notice and at Bittel USA's sole discretion. Any return of products to Bittel USA shall strictly follow the rules set out in the "return policy"
- Bittel USA has the right to discontinue a product(s) without notice. Bittel USA has the right to modify a product(s) without notice. Bittel USA has the right to add new product(s) without notice.
